"I think they couldn't foresee that we were going to take it to the level we did. Every single interior wall was gone, not a single wall remained except for the shell of the house."

It's essentially the woman's response to the Man Cave, a haven where she can go to escape and rejuvenate from her everyday life, not to be confused with She-Shed.

An oceanfront condominium in Naples, Florida, received a new lease on life when PBS Contractors teamed up with L Design Studio and architect Lars Young for a complete home remodel on an outdated home in the Pelican Bay Area. This stunning and extensive project transformed a very brown, closed-off older interior into an elegant and sophisticated Asian-inspired renovation with exciting colors and textures.

Soft, modern minimalism meets natural warmth in this inviting waterfront condominium. Tasked with renovating a property damaged by Hurricane Irma, designer Lyndsey Davis Nicklas, the driving force behind L Design Studio, seized the opportunity to transform a 3,5000-square-foot condominium into a contemporary yet warm and welcoming space for entertaining. L Design Studio collaborated with Jeff Harrell of Harrell & Co Architects and Imperial Homes of Naples, LLC, to create an urban loft space in the midst of downtown Naples, FL....

Biophilic design incorporates natural materials, natural light, vegetation, nature views and other experiences of the natural world into the modern built environment. Designer Lyndsey Davis Nicklas of L-Design Studio gives us her perspective on the subject. “As a designer and resident of the Sunshine State, I find it hard not to incorporate the concepts of biophilic design into our spaces,” she says.“ It is essentially connecting the interior environment to nature and the outdoors. In Florida, we often build our spaces around our beautiful water views, whether it be the gulf, a serene canal or a lake. Even our lanai and pool areas, with stunning water and fire features, become focal points of the whole house. We take advantage of the bright and sunny weather with large picture windows, skylights and glass sliding doors that pocket to open our space to nature. If you look closely, almost every space has some biophilic design application...."
