Lyndsey Davis Nicklas is a leader in South West Florida’s design industry. With for over 15 years of experience, she is the driving force behind L Design Studio. Providing authentic design on her clients terms is precisely why Lyndsey is often referred to as, “creative, professional, and easy to work with.” Her fresh approach to the design process allows her clients to feel passionate and engaged every step of the way.
Having grown up in Michigan, she attributes her friendly mid-west vibe and strong work ethic to her roots. Lyndsey earned her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree, and started her career in Naples as a lead designer for a local remodeling company. She held this position for 8 years, gaining invaluable experience in the construction industry, before going on to found L Design Studio in 2014.
Over the years, Lyndsey has been fully immersed in the design community, which lead her to serve on the board of the Interior Design Society as Treasurer from 2007-2009 and Vice President from 2009-2011. Her dedication to great design and to her clients has earned L Design Studio rankings among the Top 25 Interior Design Firms in SWFL, as well as recognition as Houzz Best of Service. Lyndsey believes that design should be memorable, so break the rules and explore the possibilities.

Julie Howlett, a Naples, Fl native graduated Cum Laude from the University of Florida with a bachelor degree in Interior Design. Julie gained significant industry experience in both commercial and residential design while working for Robb & Stucky Interiors, Boughton Architects, Inc., Fletcher Thompson Architectural Engineering and KVS Interior Design. She’s had the opportunity to work on many model homes including one featured in the Collier County Parade of Homes 2016. Julie has traveled to complete private residences in Michigan, Illinois & Florida (Palm Beach, Marco Island, Sanibel, Captiva, Naples & Fort Myers). She passed the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) examination in 2009 and has been a Licensed Interior Designer in the State of Florida since 2009.
Julie joined L Design Studio March 2017 as the Senior Interior Designer and immediately flourished as Lyndsey’s right hand in the firm’s lively, fast paced atmosphere. Julie is involved with every facet of the company’s projects from material selections, space planning, to selecting the finest of furnishings and ultimately installing the final touches in a client’s home. She is very detailed oriented and prides herself on collaborating & understanding each client’s own unique style. Julie cherishes the fact that she gets to be involved in such a personal and meaningful creative process. She honestly wants you to LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE!

GIANNA WELLER
LEAD DESIGN ASSISTANT
Gianna Weller, originally from New Jersey, moved to Southwest Florida in 2005. After her graduation from the University of Florida, she continued to live and work in Gainesville, FL. Go Gators!
Prior to joining L Design Studio, Gianna worked within the competitive cheerleading industry and traveled the country producing those events. While she has not worked in the design industry previously, she is thrilled by a challenge and to be a part of this amazing team.
Having worked in customer service for many years, Gianna is excited to bring unique, personalized communication to L Design. She will be assisting the designers with many aspects of the company’s projects as well as running L Design Studio’s marketing & social media presence. Her work ethic is very detailed oriented, organized, and timely which can only result in success.
Gianna prides herself in being warm, friendly & professional, all while creating a memorable experience.
RACHEL FLOWERS
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Rachel Flowers has lived in Naples, FL for the past 9 years. She graduated from Ave Maria University with an Economics focus, while minoring in Business. Rachel grew up in a military family, moving states 11 different times, and residing in over 22 homes. She has lived as far west as Alaska, and as far east as Rhode Island. She thanks her military upbringing for her ability to adapt to any situation, and to easily engage in conversation with people from all walks of life. Rachel brings knowledge in a wide range of areas, but will be concentrating in finance at L Design.
Prior to L Design, Rachel worked for a university as the Director of Student Life, overseeing all campus events, audio visual services, and budget management for multiple departments. She is described by her peers as a diligent problem solver, and very task oriented. Rachel is excited to transition into the design world as she holds L Design close to her heart and believes in the team that president and principal designer, Lyndsey has created. When Rachel is not at work, she enjoys kayaking, golfing, traveling, or spending time with her Australian Shepherd, Birdie.
MEGAN BECKER
DESIGN ASSISTANT
Megan Becker, originally from Nebraska, has lived in Naples since 2018. She attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney, where she received her B.A. in Advertising and her M.A. in Education. Megan was raised on a successful farm and ranch in southern Nebraska. She attributes her dedication and perseverance to her upbringing working for her parents, and her experience playing collegiate basketball.
Megan comes to L Design with a diverse background, having experience in sales for a Fortune 500 company, and coaching NAIA and NCAA women’s basketball. Throughout her career Megan has managed a plethora of items such as budgets, marketing materials, regulatory affairs, as well as supply and demand for consumer markets. She’s excited to bring her upbeat and lively spirit to the L Design team.
RANDY ZITELLO
DESIGN ASSISTANT
After graduating Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design, Randy connected with her fellow Alumnus, Lyndsey Davis Nicklas, the President & Principle of L Design Studio. She immediately felt at home in the upbeat, authentic environment here and couldn’t wait to join such a talented team.
Randy was drawn to residential design by the uniqueness of each client and project. Creating an environment that people enjoy sharing and living in is the best part of each design. For Randy the function of any space is key, but she believes that function is not the antithesis of aesthetics. Randy is an artist at her core, and she couldn’t be more excited to start diving into the hands-on details that go into brilliant design. She will be putting her education, experience, and creativity to work to help the team generate and execute designs. Randy is excited to be working with Lyndsey daily to bring new life to clients’ homes.
